The National Association of Compounding Pharmacies (ANFARMAG) is monitoring the developments following the approval of a proposal to change work schedules in the pharmaceutical sector. The entity acknowledges the doubts and concerns expressed by business owners, especially those managing pharmacies operating on Saturdays that currently use the 6×1 schedule.
With the goal of reducing sector uncertainty and providing adequate support, ANFARMAG announced guidance and planning initiatives to facilitate a potential transition of compounding pharmacies to the new 5×2 schedule. The association recognizes that this transition requires careful preparation from its members.
The change in work schedules represents a significant operational challenge for pharmacies operating on weekends, as the 6×1 schedule (six working days, one day off) is widely used in the segment. Implementation of the 5×2 schedule (five working days, two days off) requires adjustments in administrative and personnel organization.
ANFARMAG emphasizes that its role is to provide accurate information, reduce market uncertainty, and prepare its members to face this transition in a structured manner. The entity stresses that proper planning will be fundamental for compounding pharmacies to adapt without compromising the quality of service provided to customers.
While the association acknowledges the challenges, its actions seek to transform this regulatory change into an opportunity for sector reorganization, ensuring legal and operational security for Brazilian compounding pharmacies.
